Why isn’t everything on your website 100% ethically made?

We should start by adding a ‘yet’ to the back of that question. Since we are trying to create as little waste as possible, we need to use up what we already have. We sourced fabric from the original artisans during our travels and are combining these ‘ethically sourced’ fabrics with what we have on hand to build our inventory (these are used as a backing fabric or lining for cushions). Once we have sold enough products and raised enough money, we can expand our horizons to only buy from the original artisans.

Do you do custom orders?

Absolutely! We love working on special projects. Feel free to contact us to discuss your new exciting project.

Would you collaborate with local artists?

We would love to! We are always open to the opportunity to work with fresh artisans and look forward to hearing from you. Please get in touch through our contact page.

Will a certain design be back online once it’s been sold out?

Most of the time unfortunately not. Since we pick our textiles in person and buy in small batches, once it’s been bought it’s gone. This ensures that our products are unique and exclusive. Sometimes we will be able to re-order a specific batch of fabric, so feel free to contact us if you have your heart set on a specific item.

Why does it take up to 5 working days before my items are shipped?

Good things come to those who wait ;)
Once we receive your order we can start to assemble the product. This allow us to stock only what is needed to ensure minimal waste. We start as soon as we can, but cannot always control every aspect of our lives — so we leave room for error or emergencies.

Do you only ship in Australia?

At the moment, yes. But we will make our shop available worldwide in the near future. If you love our shop so much and have a request to ship outside of Australia, please contact us and we can organise it for you.

Why don’t the cushions have inners?

We know you like to change things in your home every now and then — we certainly do! By only selling the covers you can swap your cushions around with the different seasons and only need to worry about storing a cushion cover, not a whole cushion (let’s face it, there is never enough storage in a house).
It also makes shipping your order a lot easier.

Why so pricey?

Since we are a small made-to-order factory and make the product by hand in Australia, we need to keep in mind the cost involved. Although we try to keep our costs as low as possible, hand-made items unfortunately are more expensive due to the time that goes into it.
Another aspect to keep in mind is that we are buying fabric from the original artisans. Yes, this means cutting out the middle-man, but we are committed to paying the artisans a fair price for their expertise and labour. Try to imagine what your own time is worth and use that as a gauge to measure the prices of any small, local business.

Can I visit your store?

At the moment, we are an online store only. This way we can keep our overheads low, and in turn keep our products competitively priced while still paying our artisans a fair wage.
